2019 Jeep Scrambler

The 2019 Jeep Scrambler is going to be the first truck in a while from US carmaker. We saw the pickup made by Jeep in 1980’s, and in last few years we are listening to rumors about a comeback. Initially, it should come out as Wrangler JL, but the plan is changed. However, we will hear a lot more about this model in next months.

Under the hood of 2019, Jeep Scrambler will be a 3.0-l V-6. This turbo-diesel unit is the main option, but there are alternatives. One of them is Pentastar 3.6-l V-6 petrol engine. Another option is Hurricane mill, a 2.0-l inline-4. However, the last model is going to need a turbocharger to deliver enough power for 2019 Scrambler. With this engine lineup, it is obvious that truck will belong to mid-size segment. While the last two drivetrains are a mystery, we can predict that 3.0-l unit could tow at least 4,000 pounds. That is enough for the mid-size class since the even top of the class Nissan Frontier has the towing capacity of 6,500 pounds.

As its brother Wrangler, the 2019 Jeep Scrambler will carry removable roof. One thing is visible on spy shots – a 3-piece hard top. It will be in colors of the body, and its alternative is a soft version. However, versatility is the key to success in truck class. To be competitive, Jeep is going to prepare few more cabin configurations. Also, heavy cover hides a lot of details. Vertical bar grille is certain. The company could introduce new features to the safety system of Jeep Scrambler.

2019 Jeep Scrambler release date

A big car show will host the premiere of the 2019 Jeep Scrambler. We believe chiefs are waiting to do it in Detroit. Heavy camouflage covers a lot but shows that vehicle is not ready yet. Detroit is a major stage, and the show is on the schedule each January. By then, Scrambler will be ready, and entire car industry will look at it as a highlight of the spectacle. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be strange if LA or NY host the debut of the pickup truck.
